There are several ways of checking whether a web site or course meets accessibility guidelines. One way is to use some of the assistive technologies that people with disabilities use to access the computer, You can also check by using some of the accessibility features on your PC ( Start - Programs - Accessibility) or MAC (System Preferences - Universal Access) including turning off graphics, setting your computer to high contrast and changing the text size. There is also a range of automated checking tools available that help in the checking process, these tools will, however, only provide a rough guide and should not be used in isolation:
