Challenges:
- Provision of space to locate equipment (public or private)
- Accessibility for disabled students
Solutions:
- Provision of portable laptop computers to enable flexibility of access
- Utilisation of 'public' spaces with computer facilities installed,
such as regional study centres, libraries or schools (out of school
hours)
- Provision of home computer facilities for learners who lack mobility
- Provision of assistive technology for those unable to use mouse or
keyboard
- Design of websites and course material to enable the use of and reduce
requirements for assistive technology for sight and/or hearing impaired
learners
- Inclusion of disabled users in design, development and testing of
courseware
