Associate Professor Tony Koppi has been Director of EDTeC since its inception in 1999. Tony has been involved in educational development and technology for the last seven years. Prior to that he lectured and researched in two leading Australian Universities after being a research scientist for the Australian Government.
Tony is interested in all issues concerning the application of educational technology to student learning. The main research areas focus on issues that affect UNSW as a whole. An ongoing research project is concerned with student accessibility to online education to ensure, as far as practicable, that all students have equal access to online teaching provided by UNSW. Another research project is concerned with the development and use of learning objects and learning resource catalogues to facilitate technologically mediated teaching and learning.
